The Creston Valley-Kootenay Lake event planner project connected with existing community events and stakeholders to identify what support is needed to create sustainability and diversify offerings to increase economic benefits for the Creston Valley-Kootenay Lake area. The event planner worked directly with individual groups to assist with any organizational or logistical planning tasks, such as updating events manuals, submitting funding proposals, or providing marketing support.

The event planner was tasked with developing concepts for at least two new community events. One new event for the Creston Valley – Kootenay Lake area was the Hop to Vine Hustle on July 8, 2023.

The event planner supported a group of business owners and community partners with establishing a society and assisted in creating an event manual, budget and project plans, as well as applying for required permits, assisting with event logistics and support on the event day.

A second event that has been conceptualized is the arts festival Creston Valley in the Raw. Due to delays in getting the new society established and funding deadlines having passed, the first installment will be hosted in 2024.
