Helping our bring nurses into British Columbia.

The credential recognition process for Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) is multi-pronged, and navigating it can be challenging. Support programs are available to assist newcomers, but gaps in service exist, particularly in rural areas of BC.

Through this program, we can assist IENs already living in BC who could benefit from assistance with the credential recognition process and are not eligible for other programs, such as Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants. We have created a user-friendly and detailed tool for IENs to navigate the system. Participants also have access to a library of resources, both physical if they live in the Kootenay region and virtual, and some financial support as they go through the credentialling process to cover costs not already supported by other programs.
